Digital Learning Program
Marist-Sion College is committed to preparing students for success in the digital age through a comprehensive eLearning program. Technology is integrated meaningfully into teaching and learning to enhance engagement, collaboration and access to information.
Central to this approach is our 1:1 laptop program, ensuring that every student has access to a personal device to support learning both in and beyond the classroom.
Digital Learning Environment
Students and families benefit from a connected digital ecosystem that supports communication, organisation and academic progress.
Key platforms include:
- SIMON – our online learning management system, providing access to learning resources, assessment information and feedback
- Parent Access Module (PAM) – enabling families to view tasks, assessment results, permissions and attendance
- Microsoft Teams and OneNote – supporting collaboration, resource sharing and submission of assessment tasks
These tools ensure students can engage with their learning in flexible and responsive ways.
Building Digital Literacy
A core element of our program is the Digital Literacy curriculum for junior students. This program focuses on:
- Developing foundational skills in software applications
- Strengthening online research and organisational skills
- Promoting responsible and safe use of the internet
- Encouraging ethical and respectful digital behaviour
Through this structured approach, students develop the confidence, skills and integrity required to navigate the online world as responsible digital citizens.
