Counselling and Wellbeing Services Team
Adolescence can be a challenging time. Students may experience difficulties such as anxiety, low mood, friendship concerns, family or relationship issues, bullying, school refusal, identity questions, or the impact of traumatic events. These challenges can affect both wellbeing and learning.
At Marist-Sion College, we provide confidential counselling services to support students and assist families when concerns arise.
Our counselling and wellbeing services:
- Are provided at no cost
- Are voluntary
- Operate during normal College hours
- Support students to return to class where possible
- Offer referrals to external services when appropriate
We are committed to fostering a respectful, responsible and safe environment where students can develop the skills to manage academic, emotional, psychological and social challenges.
The counselling team also contributes to:
- Camps, retreats, sports days and other wellbeing initiatives
- Whole-school wellbeing programs
- Small group workshops and forums
