Leadership positions exist from Year 7 through to Year 12 and encourage personal growth, positive role modelling and opportunities to positively contribute to a positive school culture.

College Captains and Vice Captains

College Captains and Vice Captains at Marist-Sion College are Year 12 leaders who represent the student body and lead the Student Executive Leadership Team, embodying the College values of Truth, Charity, and Constancy. They act as intermediaries between students and administration, promote school pride and wellbeing initiatives, and represent the College at internal and community events. Their responsibilities include chairing meetings, presenting at assemblies, writing reports, and collaborating with other schools’ captains to foster a positive Catholic culture.

Student Executive Leadership Team

The Student Executive Leadership Team at Marist‑Sion College provides whole‑school leadership by representing student voice, modelling College values, and leading initiatives that support wellbeing, faith, learning and community life.

Working collaboratively, team members act as role models, engage with staff and students, and help foster an inclusive, respectful and connected school community.

House Captains

The House Captains at Marist‑Sion College provide leadership within their House communities by fostering belonging, school spirit and active participation in College life. They lead by example, support wellbeing initiatives, celebrate student achievements, and work closely with Heads of House to coordinate House events, assemblies, liturgies, fundraising and inter‑House activities, helping to build a positive, inclusive and connected House culture.

Student Representative Council

The Student Representative Council (SRC) empowers student voice and leadership by providing a platform for ideas, advocacy, and participation in decision-making. Through events, social justice initiatives, and support for College activities, the SRC fosters collaboration, respect, and belonging. Members act as role models, promoting engagement and ensuring student perspectives shape an inclusive school environment.
