Shane Stiles is the Business Manager of Marist-Sion College, bringing executive leadership that is strategic, future focused and deeply aligned with the mission of Catholic education.
Shane’s leadership is defined not by function but by influence. Shane enables systems, strategy and stewardship that support the full mission of Catholic education. Shane leads with clarity of purpose, calm authority and a coaching mindset that builds capacity across teams. Known for resolving complexity and embedding digital solutions, Shane strengthens organisational stewardship and decision making through deliberate systems and strategic alignment with the College’s mission.
As part of an early impact at the College, Shane has led a restorative phase of cultural and operational renewal. Shane has brought fresh energy and direction to the College’s support functions, strengthening leadership, rebuilding systems and lifting expectations. Through intentional structure and renewed focus, Shane has reactivated planning, clarified priorities and helped unify practice across the College.
Shane’s leadership is marked by deep immersion in the full life and work of the College. With a career that spans the trades, tertiary education and senior roles in Catholic and independent schools, Shane brings a rare breadth of experience. This diversity enhances Shane’s ability to connect across teams, lead with grounded insight and align operations with vision and values. It is a hallmark of Shane’s leadership and a clear point of difference.
Shane brings strong governance capability through prior experience as a Company Secretary and formal training in not-for-profit governance. Shane’s completion of the Gippsland Community Leadership Program reflects a broader commitment to civic leadership and regional engagement.
Shane also serves as a Board Director at Latrobe Valley Enterprises (LVE), a Gippsland based social enterprise that provides meaningful employment for people with disabilities. This involvement reflects a deep commitment to inclusion, service and the belief that purposeful leadership creates lasting community impact.
